Average rating 1.0 based on 1 reviewBeware! My recent encounter with Martin Schenk, the proprietor of Eagle Pacific Developments, and his associates has resulted in substantial financial losses and left my wife and I profoundly disheartened. Despite paying a premium for a corner lot in their development, their unprofessionalism and lack of integrity were apparent throughout the entire process. From the onset, Martin and his team declined to pave the smaller gravel road fronting the front of our house. Instead, they insisted we modify our house plans (and destroy the foundation forms already in place) to face the larger, pre-paved road, blatantly ignoring the city's regulations. The city had clearly indicated that no other house plans would be approved due to the unique dimensions of our long, narrow lot. Following months of aggravation and delays, we found ourselves arguing back and forth with Martin and his associates. The city eventually had to step in and force them to pave the road. Unfortunately, this led to considerable delays and financial stress on our end, with no compensation offered. To make matters worse, when we asked for the return of our $5,000 landscaping deposit, Martin and his team audaciously stated that it would be used to offset the cost of the roadwork. This flagrant violation of our agreement showed a total lack of respect for their obligations. Their exact words were: 'Your deposit has gone towards the 85k extension we never planned or budgeted towards.' I suggest anyone contemplating doing business with Eagle Pacific Developments proceed cautiously. Martin's unethical behaviour, unfulfilled promises, and lack of professionalism have led to immense disappointment and financial losses in excess of $10,000.
